A day in the life of a Solus apprentice

Meet Kirsty, one of our MET apprentices, who starts her day by preparing her workstation and attending a morning briefing for her assignments. She collaborates with her mentor and peers, gaining hands-on experience and ensuring all tasks meet Solus's high standards.

From day one, you’ll have a dedicated mentor to guide and support you throughout your apprenticeship. We partner with top-tier training providers to ensure you receive the best possible education and hands-on experience in the motor industry.

What We Provide

Uniform, PPE & Tools: We supply everything you need – and it’s yours to keep! Take a look inside an apprentice’s new tool kit.

Block Release Training: Our courses follow a block release format, meaning you’ll attend training for one week at a time, several times a year. We cover all travel, accommodation, meals, and even provide extracurricular activities to keep you up to date with the latest technology.

Kickstart Your Career with Solus Work Experience!

Are you 15 or older and in full-time education? Want to gain real-world experience and essential life skills? Our work experience programme, in partnership with Unifrog and local schools and colleges, is the perfect opportunity to get started.

Our work experience programme is designed to introduce you to the working world while helping you develop valuable skills. Here’s what you can expect:

• CV Writing: Learn how to make your CV stand out.
• Mock Interviews: Get practice and build confidence for future job opportunities.
• Department Rotations: Spend time in different departments to discover what interests you.
• Tailored Experience: Choose your favourite department to spend your final day in.

Cool Extras

• Test your knowledge with the “Show Me, Tell Me” section of the UK driving test.
• Successfully complete the programme and receive a free 30-minute young driver lesson!
